Classed choropleth maps

A classed choropleth map determines height and shading or color intensity of the bar for each map classed. This would involve creating a classed frequency legend including a frequency histogram, a frequency curve, and shading. The map I found shows males to every 100 females, data taken from the 2000 census. Looks like Alaska needs a few more girls!! I found this map at http://my.ilstu.edu/~jrcarter/Geo204/Choro/map-AmFact-6eqint-orange-80pct.jpg
