DEM's (Digital Elevation Models) are a digital representation of ground surface topography or terrain. This map shows Lake Tahoe in Nevada. I found it every interesting because it shows the mountain ridges around the lake, but you can very clearly see where the lake is!! I found it here http://tahoe.usgs.gov/images/4ds/dem_zoom.jpg
